November News

It is hard to believe that November is all ready here!  Earlier this week we were able to celebrate the successes of our fall sports teams.  A special portion of the evening included recognizing our retiring cross country coach, Mr. Paul Rodda, as he completed his thirtieth year of coaching.  Both of our cross country teams had a fantastic year, with our boy’s team taking third place in the state meet!

Our Girls JV and Varsity teams went undefeated this year.  Each team had a 10-0 record and our varsity girls went on to win the SDEAA Conference Tournament.  Congratulations to coaches Beth Nyhlen and Dawn Wrzesinski!  The Lakeview Football Team coached my MR. Dave Dvorak finished second in conference this year.  A special thanks to our fall cheerleaders under the direction of Mrs. Joy Defors for cheering on our team for the entire season.

As we are now in our tenth week of school, we are reviewing our MAP data and comparing this information to local assessments and academic performance to determine if there are students that require additional academic support through our RtI program.  Students currently in RtI classes may be exiting and some students may be added to our tier two and tier three reading and math support classes.  Teachers will be contacting parents directly with more information if students will have any schedule changes at the beginning of the third trimester.
