Our annual week of school spirited events begins next Wednesday, February 2, 2011 with our first “Pack the Place” basketball game. The boys will host Butler at Lakeview. Activities begin at 3:00, concessions will be available, and the game starts in Gym 1 at 4:00. The Girls game will be the following Wednesday, February 9, 2011 vs. Eisenhower. All of these students represented our school at the District 66 Spelling Bee on Tuesday. Vishal Sorakayala was the District 66 winner and will advance to the DuPage County Spelling Bee next month. Great Job Vishal!

Good Luck Mrs. Mastny!
Mrs. Mastny will be out of the building for her maternity leave beginning this week. Our best wishes go out to Mrs. Mastny and her family.

We have made arrangements for Mrs. Kim Froats to cover her classes until she returns shortly after spring break. Mrs. Froats has been a member of our school community as a substitute for many years. She will be in communication with Mrs. Mastny to ensure the curriculum is consistent and aligned to expectations.

I am sure that Mrs. Froats will do an outstanding job with your children. Should you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to give me a call at any time. You can also reach Mrs. Froats by email: kfroats@ccsd66.org

On A Final Note….
Good Luck to all of our Wind Ensemble Students Performing at the Illinois Music Educator Conference in Peoria this Saturday. I am sure they will do a fantastic job representing our school and Community!
